Biography
Julia Adriana
Julia Adriana is a 26-year-old singer-songwriter from Rotterdam whose music blends indie, pop, soul, and acoustic influences. Inspired by artists such as Joni Mitchell and The Eagles, she first discovered her love for music singing alongside her grandmother, who performed in a choir. Those early experiences laid the foundation for her artistic path, eventually leading her to graduate as a vocalist from the Codarts Rotterdam in 2022 and begin writing her own songs.
Her debut EP, Homemade Love (May 2025), created together with producer Anton van Room, combines layered harmonies with warm, organic production, drawing subtle inspiration from The 1975 and Lizzy McAlpine. Her melancholic tone and expressive delivery have drawn comparisons to Eva Cassidy. Following the release, Julia played a sold-out headline show in Amsterdam.
In 2025, Julia joined Popronde, performing in 16 cities both solo and with her band. Highlights included opening the festival at Stevenskerk and closing the tour at Melkweg. She also performed at Paradijsvogels in Paradiso alongside Ciao Lucifer and Gerson Main, appeared at Know The Unknown — curated by Bente — at De Lieve Vrouw, and played festivals including Hit The City and Rapunzel Festival.
Since late 2025, Julia has been working on her second EP, Too Late To Be Confused, recorded in a 1970s villa near Gouda. The title track was written during a songwriting trip to Portugal with Will Knox. In the lead-up to the release, acoustic versions of songs from Homemade Love gained online attention from listeners around the world.
In September, Julia will join Stu Larsen on his Scandinavian tour, performing as a duo support act together with fellow musician and longtime collaborator Imme. Shortly after, she will embark on her first headline Benelux tour in November and December, opening with a show at Paradiso Bovenzaal.
Alongside her solo career, Julia works as a backing vocalist and songwriter. She has collaborated with BLØF and joined the band for 21 theatre shows throughout April and May 2026, as well as appearing at the closing concert of Concert at SEA. With a growing audience on TikTok, she continues to reinterpret well-known songs while steadily developing her own distinctive artistic voice.
